Carob Maple Glazed Lamb Chops Recipe

Carob Maple Glazed Lamb Chops Recipe

These Carob Maple Glazed Lamb Chops bring together sweet, smoky and deeply aromatic flavors in a simple yet special main dish. The rich taste of lamb chops pairs beautifully with a warm glaze made with BallıÇubuk carob syrup, maple syrup, balsamic vinegar and soy sauce. In this recipe, carob is not used only as a sweetener. Carob syrup adds a smooth, slightly caramel-like flavor to the glaze, while carob flour works beautifully in the seasoning mix. Together with paprika, garlic powder and black pepper, it creates a flavorful coating on the lamb chops. This recipe is a great choice for weekend dinners, special tables or whenever you want to prepare something different with lamb. You can also use the same glaze with chicken, turkey, mushrooms, roasted potatoes or grilled vegetables.

Ingredients for Carob Maple Glazed Lamb Chops

Serves 2*

500 g lamb chops
1 tablespoon BallıÇubuk carob syrup or carob molasses
1 tablespoon maple syrup
1 tablespoon balsamic vinegar
1 tablespoon soy sauce
1 tablespoon butter
2 tablespoons olive oil or avocado oil
1 teaspoon BallıÇubuk carob flour
1 teaspoon sweet paprika
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1/2 teaspoon salt
Optional: fresh rosemary or parsley

Preparation

Pat the lamb chops dry with a paper towel. This helps the meat sear better in the pan.

In a small bowl, mix the carob flour, sweet paprika, garlic powder, black pepper and salt.

Rub the carob seasoning mixture onto both sides of the lamb chops.

Add the butter to a small saucepan and melt it over low heat. Add the BallıÇubuk carob syrup, maple syrup, balsamic vinegar and soy sauce.

Cook the glaze over low heat for a few minutes, stirring occasionally until it becomes slightly thicker.

Heat the olive oil or avocado oil in a skillet. Place the lamb chops in the skillet and cook each side for about 3-4 minutes.

If you prefer the lamb more well-done, cook it for a few extra minutes.

Transfer the cooked lamb chops to a serving plate. Drizzle the warm carob maple glaze over the lamb chops.

Serve with fresh rosemary or parsley if desired.

Recipe Notes

Carob syrup gives the lamb a lightly sweet and caramelized flavor.

Carob flour adds a rich, warm and natural taste to the seasoning mix.

You can use a small amount of honey instead of maple syrup.

Low-sodium soy sauce can be used if preferred.

For a spicier flavor, add a little cayenne pepper or fresh ginger.

This glaze can also be used with chicken, turkey, mushrooms, roasted potatoes or grilled vegetables.

Store any leftover sauce in a glass jar in the refrigerator for a few days.
