How to Make Crepes with Carob

Crepes are thin, round, and soft sweet or savory treats made by pouring a liquid batter consisting of eggs, milk, and flour into a pan and frying it. Also known as “akıtma,” “cızlama,” or “cızlak” depending on the region, crepes are a delicious pastry often preferred for breakfast. In this recipe, we will explain how to make easy and nutritious sugar-free yet sweet crepes that are enjoyed by both children and adults.

In our crepe recipe with carob, we have made changes to the ingredients so that both babies under 1 year old and those with celiac disease can eat them with peace of mind. Instead of whole wheat flour, we used gluten-free teff flour, and instead of cocoa, we used carob flour. Thus, we have obtained a food that is both low in calories and high in nutritional value.
