How to Make Carob Remedy for Blood Sugar Levels
This recipe, recommended for those who are mindful of their blood sugar balance, is a warm drink prepared with the natural aroma of carob flour. The milk or water in the ingredients ensures the powder is evenly distributed; the recipe is designed for consumption at a warm to hot temperature.
Two teaspoons of carob flour and one glass of goat milk are used. For coarse-grained flours, a slightly heaped amount is sufficient; for fluid and finely ground flours, the spoons can be filled to the brim. Those who are sensitive to goat milk or do not want to consume milk can use the same amount of hot water.
Warm the milk over low-medium heat. Remove from the heat before boiling and gradually add the carob flour. Mix with a wire whisk or a small hand whisk until there are no lumps. When the mixture reaches a drinkable temperature, pour it into a glass.
The consumption time is twice a day: during or just before breakfast and about an hour before bedtime. If using water instead of milk, boiling the water and letting it rest for a minute or two before adding the powder helps the flavor to spread evenly.
For those with lactose intolerance, lukewarm water is a practical alternative. If using herbal drinks (e.g., almond or oat drinks), it’s best to choose unsweetened and additive-free varieties. If you wish to add honey, the drink’s temperature should not exceed 60°C; honey should always be added to a lukewarm drink and in small amounts.
Those who want to make this drink a regular habit should consider their individual tolerance and daily diet. Individuals undergoing diabetes treatment, using blood sugar-lowering medication or insulin, should consult their doctor regarding the risk of hypoglycemia. If unusual symptoms (tremors, sweating, dizziness, extreme weakness) occur, consumption should be stopped and professional advice sought.
Some recipes may include highly nutritious ingredients such as honey or molasses. When these products are kept at temperatures above 60°C for extended periods, HMF levels increase, negatively affecting quality. Therefore, it is recommended not to add honey to boiling mixtures and not to cook molasses at high temperatures.
Pregnant women and breastfeeding mothers, individuals with chronic illnesses, those taking regular medication, individuals with monitored kidney and liver function, and children should consult a doctor before trying such recipes. Those with a history of allergies should exercise caution, as if trying a new ingredient for the first time.

Short summary: Two teaspoons of carob flour are thoroughly mixed into a glass of warm goat milk (or water). It is consumed morning and evening, preferably one hour before bedtime. Those with milk sensitivity can prepare it with water; if honey is added, the drink should be warm.
